I have known Dr. Ho for many years but it was only in the past couple of years that our friendship was rekindled. You see he loves his skiing as much as I for snowboarding; and sports have its mysterious ways of energizing old friendships. After my recent filming in Australia for the new Marvel movie I returned to Hong Kong and we went wakesurfing together. Over lunch he was acting a little embarrassed until I realized he was asking me to be the Patron of his sports Foundation. He told me about his desire for helping the younger generation, especially the underprivileged to develop a more healthy, meaningful and exciting lifestyle through sports - how could I refuse? I too am passionate about sports and it is no secret to my friends that I spend much of my non-working hours indulging in every kind of sport. I therefore indeed feel honoured to share the vision and mission of the Sports for Youth Foundation as the Patron and I look forward to offering my full support in the coming years.
